In the pamphlet "Social enterprise in primary and community care", Patricia Hewitt outlines the Government's vision for a patient-centred NHS and describes the five core elements that she sees as crucial to the provider side of the health and social care system. She discusses the advantages of the third sector in providing health and social care services and outlines what the Government and NHS need to do to enable the third sector to fulfil its potential within these markets.
